That means that China’s possibility of growth is always evolving. They constantly have supplies for manufacturing and the products from the manufacturing can be sold everywhere around the world, thus giving China more power.

In the realm of current economic state, China is in a way better shape than America. Currently, America’s current unemployment rate is much higher than China’s. In China, there is way more people working than people working in America meaning that China again is increasing its financial stature in the world. If there are more people in China working and making more things, the economy of China can expand to greater lengths.

As I stated before, everything is made in China in this day and age, so other countries look at China as their main provider. Since they are seen as the main provider of the world, everyone will be looking to keep China as happy as possible so that they do not cease production, or raise the prices of their products. They do not want to bite the hand that feeds them. This puts China, again, at a very powerful position where they can essentially get away with a lot of stuff.

Overall, China is a force to be reckoned with in the near future. With its constant evolution of finance and agriculture, China only can get bigger and more dangerous for other countries. As an American, I do legitimately fear where I will be in ten years regarding my position in the world as an American. It also haunts me that my children will have to deal with our country being dominated by another country. To be honest, Americans are about to enter a world of pain courtesy of China, probably the next world leader.

On Wednesday, Orlando visits Milwaukee in a bout between an established title contender and a team fighting for its playoff survival. Even though the game’s at Milwaukee, expect a good 6-8 point line in favor of the Magic. And I’d take the Magic. In fact, I could see them crushing the Bucks handily, certainly ending in the double-digit range. The only wild-card with these games is if the Magic happen to put it away early, they’ll pull the stars early in the fourth quarter, which could hurt the final score. Still, they should be safe bet. Milwaukee will be playing with a ton of energy, but Orlando still needs to prove they belong in the same sentence as Cleveland, Boston and Los Angeles (Lakers, obviously). Do they? Time will tell.

And, last but not least, a reasonable sports gambling NBA finals preview match up on Friday the 20th between the Celtics and the Spurs. Two teams I expect to be there come June will face off in San Antonio. Catch this monster on national TV. Expect a 3 point line or so in favor of the Spurs. Tough call. Both teams have been above average but not spectacular the last couple weeks. Talent is even. I’d have to give the home team the benefit of the doubt and go with the Spurs. Their turf can be one unfriendly place to play for the visiting team.

Watching a blackjack tournament, while perhaps not as action-packed and engrossing as watching a World Series of Poker tournament can be, is still quick to the eye and fast-paced enough to hold your interest. Funny enough, I didn’t even know there were television online blackjack tournaments until recently. I can’t remember if I saw this online or on a cable channel late at night, but apparently a couple years ago CBS aired a couple television seasons of a show called Ultimate Blackjack Tour.

Of course, you seemingly can’t have televised gambling without somehow infusing some element of poker into it (outside of sports), so along with the professional blackjack gamers, the show introduced some big-time poker studs into the mix, as well. Johnny Chan was the only face and name I really recognized that was part of this.

I suppose, given the format of the show and how the system awarded money, there were poker correlations to be drawn, so having poker experts who certainly weren’t famous for their blackjack skills thrown into the mix wasn’t coming completely out of left field…most just out of short left center.

Anyway, they reviewed the entire show’s rules periodically throughout the gaming action, and I did a bit of research to fill in the gaps. Basically, there were 10 different tournaments per season, all televised. The first seven were known as preliminary, and the winners of each of these (different players in each), would come back for the finals, and this group would compete for a portion of more than a cool million bucks. I know that only equals 8…I guess two of the tournaments didn’t qualify for the finals, which they called the Tournament of Champions. The one episode I caught was “in-play” however.

In the process, it opens your eyes to some big-time blackjack online legends who don’t get the exposure of poker greats. Here’s a quick look at a few names of blackjack you should know.

James Grosjean, who wrote a book about exploiting casino games, became a Blackjack Hall of Famer (yes, it exists) in 2006.

Anthony Curtis, who’s been playing blackjack forever, and is widely known and broadcast on television as a casino expert, including such shows as 20/20. He lies low these days, though.

There are, of course, dozens more names to throw out there, including the famous MIT man himself Mike Aponte. I’d encourage anyone interested to seek out the info and brush up of the pioneers and top brass of this excellent game.
